LE DA SOUL: 20 Years of De La Soul!


Inspired by 20 years of greatness from hip-hop’s most consistent group, De La Soul, this project unites the cream of the crop in hiphop… including old school legends (Phife, Camp Lo and Skillz), current hitmakers (Talib Kweli and Kardinal Offishall) and future stars (U-N-I, Tanya Morgan, Tabi Bonney) to remake their favorite De La classics.

Originally stemming from Mick Boogie’s popular VH1 Honor Roll mixtape last year, we worked with our favorite artists and producers to create an astounding 20 remakes! One for every year of De La history!

This project was sponsored by clothing company Lemar and Dauley, makers of the now infamous Le Da Soul teeshirt.

Danny! - Where Is Danny? [Free LP]



Sadly Danny!'s long awaited album, Where Is Danny?, leaked on a few sites over this past weekend. Because of this, D. Swain's camp decided to release the project for free download. However, all is not lost. Danny! is going to go back and revamp the album with some additional tracks. The newer version of Where Is Danny? will be going out to retail in a week or so via Def Jux. The G.O.O.D. Music crew has picked Consequence's single, "Whatever U Want," as the first track that the new Grammy Family goes in over. Here is the "Whatever U Want (remix)" featuring Kanye West, John Legend, Common, KiD CuDi, and Big Sean. Conseqeunce's new album, Cons TV (exec. prod. Q-Tip & Kanye West) will be out in 2010.

Strange Fruit Project - M.A.S.K. EP

Myone, Myth and Symbolyc One are Strange fruit Project. Three emcees who continue to set trends and go against the grain.

SFP is releasing their first group project since their critically acclaimed 2006 album "The healing" which was nothing short of ahip hop classic.
the group is back with a new EP, "M.A.S.K. (making Art Sound Kool)".
M.A.S.K. is a free downloadable projecct which consists of production from the like of Grammy nominated 9th Wonder along with production from S1, Picnic and newcomer Caleb, all based in the Dalla area.,

Highlights of M.A.S.K include "Home" featuring Tre of the southern based hip hop group Mojoe and other bangers such as "Crash" and "Fresh for Life" featuring songstress thesis. MASK is a prelude to the forthcoming full length LP from SFP which will be released in the spring of 2010.
